# An experienced extension of your practice

More than 1,500 pediatricians have referred patients to Clarity Pediatrics for comprehensive, multispecialty ADHD and anxiety care.

## Why refer to Clarity?

Clarity’s evidence-based clinical model provides access to best-in-class ADHD care according to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry guidelines. Our multidisciplinary clinical team offers both behavioral and medical services, including refill management, to reduce the administrative burden on your staff and support our shared patient families with virtual ADHD and anxiety care, covered by insurance.

## Your patient families are

5x more likely to enroll in Behavioral Parent Training if their pediatrician makes a direct referral

Your direct referral opens the door to years of specialized virtual pediatric ADHD or anxiety care for your patient families. Many of our team members have completed training rotations at academic medical centers and children’s hospitals nationwide. ## Why behavioral therapies for pediatric ADHD and anxiety?

The [American Academy of Pediatrics](https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article/144/4/e20192528/81590/Clinical-Practice-Guideline-for-the-Diagnosis?autologincheck=redirected) and the [American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry](https://www.jaacap.org/article/S0890-8567(20)30280-X/fulltext) both recommend behavioral interventions as first-line treatments for school-age children with ADHD and anxiety.

ADHD is a condition of variable self-regulation; meaning, a child’s ability to control their impulses comes and goes. Parent training provides caregivers with the science-backed skills so that children can “borrow” from the parent to extend their attention for tasks, regulate their moods, and use friendly behaviors.

Medication is effective, but doesn’t fully address ADHD or anxiety complexities, necessitating a comprehensive approach [1](https://journals.healio.com/doi/10.3928/19382359-20160920-04)
School-age children who receive both stimulant medications and behavioral interventions have significantly better outcomes [2](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3063150/)

> “Behavioral Parent Training should be the first thing we are doing for our school age kids with ADHD. A reliable insurance covered option for BPT, like Clarity, simply doesn't exist for families of children with ADHD; in the past, it's been sheer luck if they can even find a therapist who fills this void.”
